I’m going to start this review out with a warning. The Child Thief is aimed towards adults with constant, strong language, nudity, and borders dangerously on the line of child porn. There is rape and graphic violence. I wouldn’t suggest it for anyone who might have a problem with any of the above. With that said, this is one of the best written, most intriguing books I have had the joy of reading in a very long time. The plot is gripping and the characters are full of life and personality. Brom takes a common story (Peter Pan) and makes it darker and more sinister than you could’ve ever imagined. Throughout the book you’re not sure who to trust or how to feel because, quite frankly, it’s a battle between the lesser of two evils in this thrilling, page-turning adventure. Pick it up and lose yourself in the contagious smile of The Child Thief himself. ♥
